Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan-border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. A trek to the Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore villages, climb small peaks, and to visit glaciers at comfortably low elevations.


Day 01: Meet upon arrival at Kathmandu airport by Swan Valley Treks & Expedition, Kathmandu representative and transfer to hotel. After getting refreshed, and having lunch, proceed for walking tour to Kathmandu Durbar square visiting, ancient palace, living goddess temple Kumari temple, Hanuman Dhoka and Kastamandap temple. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Proceed on sight seeing tour to Swoyambhunath stupa also known as the Monkey Temple, Patan city known as the City of Fine Arts, Pashupatinath temple the hosliest shrine of the Hindu people and Boudhnath stupa. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Dhunche: (1,950m):
We drive about six hours by local bus on a paved highway that twists and climbs over ridges to the Trishuli valley.
Day 04: Dhunche to Syabru village: (2087m):
We descend to the Syabru River and, after crossing it, trek uphill for two hours. During lunch we are rewarded with magnificent views of Mt.Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu and Mt.Kerung of Tibet. We trek two more hours through pine to rhododendron forest to reach Syabru village.
Day 05: Syabru village to Lama Hotel: (2,280m):
We descend for about two hours through forest and then climb about one hour to reach Bamboo village (1,850m) for lunch. Ascend through Bamboo jungle to reach Lama Hotel.
Day 06: Lama Hotel to Langtang:
The trail passes through rhododendron and pine forests for about three hours to reach Ghora Tabela for lunch. After another three hours the trail reaches Langtang village.
Day 07: Langtang to Kyanjing Gompa: (3700m):
The trek continues for about four hour to Kyanjing Gompa. This place offers beautiful views of Mt. Ganchempo and Langtang Himal.
Day 08: Langtang to Kyanjing Gompa: (3700m):
Climb for three hours to reach Yala. Rest or proceed for a short walk to views of Langsisa Himal, Bhairab Takura and Dorjee Lakpa Mountains and Yala and Lirung glaciers.
Day 09: Kyanjing Gompa to Lama Hotel:
Trek back by the same route.
Day 10: Lama hotel to Syabru Base:
Trek back by the same route.
Day 11: Syabru Base to Kathmandu:
Day 12: AM: Drive to Bhaktapur also known as the City of Devotees for sight seeing tour. Lunch in Bhaktapur and later drive back to Kathmandu.PM: Free for last moment's shopping. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13: Free till departure and later transfer to the International Airport to connect the flight to onward destination.
